Starcraft II: Terran Unit Update

Lately i've been checking my emails and i noticed a news letter from blizzard. When i open it i was really amazed when i saw that they have update on their terran unit. Here's the newsletter that i've got.

At BlizzCon 2007, for the first time, StarCraft II was playable outside the halls of the Blizzard offices. More details on the gameplay, content, and features of StarCraft II also emerged at BlizzCon, where it was one of the centerpieces of the two-day event. Hands-on gaming stations allowed attendees to play a single-player battle as the Protoss, or the newly unveiled Terrans, as well as battle in multiplayer skirmishes against other attendees.

Developer panels on StarCraft II’s gameplay, lore, and art featured both a new Terran gameplay demo as well as a sneak peek of the heretofore-unrevealed single-player campaign. Expect to hear more about the single-player campaign mode soon, when we’ll give you a closer look at the evolution of Blizzard’s single-player RTS experience and shed more light on the gameplay, structure, and story of StarCraft II’s campaign.

The first wave of Terran unit and building details was also revealed at BlizzCon. In the aftermath of the Brood War, the ingenuity, resilience, and sheer grit of the Terrans shine through in their new designs and adjustments to existing designs. The new Terran units have adapted and counter their enemies' strengths while taking advantage of their weaknesses. View detailed profiles of the Marine, Reaper, Ghost, Viking, and Command Center on the StarCraft II website. Each website profile includes background information, screenshots, video, and concept art.

Here are some picture's on their newest unit.

Pretty good picture of it i hope i can play it too. But i havent seen any installer of it here on the philippines im just too excited on playing it. Learn more here http://enews.blizzard.com/Key=4389.Mt6l.K.F.GvQCCL

Manufacturer's description
Following a trend begun with the GameCube and continued with the DS handheld, Wii evidences a significant split of Nintendo's philosophy from those of its consolemaking competitors, Microsoft and Sony. As suggested by its development codename, "Revolution," Nintendo did not want this console to represent another evolution in gaming technology, but a new direction in the video game industry.

Instead of concentrating strictly on advancing the processing and graphics capabilities of its next game machine, Nintendo's research and development focused on easing accessibility, widening its audience beyond young and "hardcore" gamers, and expanding the scope of games that people make and play. With Wii, Nintendo aimed to innovate instead of simply improve.

This focus on innovation is manifest in the console's two most notable features: its controller and its backward compatibility. The Wii controller is rectangular and slender, similar to a television remote control. It is wireless and, unlike the GameCube's WaveBird, features a builtin vibration function. The wandlike Wii controller senses threedimensional motion up and down, back and forward, side to side allowing it to be aimed like laser pointer, wielded like a sword, swung like a baseball bat, cast like a fishing rod, and employed in other intuitive control schemes.

For use with games requiring conventional analog input, a thumbstick accessory, with trigger, can be plugged in the bottom of the Wii controller, to allow more traditional, twohanded manipulation. Without the thumbstick, the controller can also be turned on its side an used like a Nintendo Entertainment System gamepad, with its crossshaped Dpad beneath the left thumb and two action buttons on the right. This feature is useful for both new and old Nintendo games Wii can run.

Compared to the motionsensing controller, capacity to play games from earlier systems may seem less "revolutionary," but Wii's backward compatibility goes farther "backwards" than any previous console or handheld has gone. For a fee, Wii owners with an internet connection can gain access to an extensive offering of downloadable games from earlier generations, including releases for N64, Super NES, and even the original Nintendo Entertainment System.

Select Sega Genesis and NEC TurboGraphix games are available through the online service, as well. In addition to Nintendo's unrivaled backcatalog of classic console games, Wii can also play 8cm GameCube discs. Hidden beneath a panel on the top edge of the machine, Wii has four ports for GameCube controllers.

Games developed and released for Wii come on 12cm discs; the same size as a standard CD or DVD. In addition to downloadable games, GameCube, and Wii discs, the console can play DVD movies when it is equipped with an enabling accessory. Two slots are available for memory cards, and two USB ports can support a variety of first and thirdparty accessories.

The console itself is small and sleek. Its dimensions are often compared to the size and shape of "a stack of three DVD cases." A custom stand can be used to hold the console on its edge and at an upward angle, for easier access to the disc slot, but Wii can also be operated while laying flat. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide

Episode XV: Rachel Has Arrived!

Here's a little information about Episode XV: Rachel on pRO

The Story: Rachel, the Capital City of Arunafeltz, is the center of a devout nation faithful to goddess Freya.

The holy words of the goddess Freya brought great changes to the lives of the indigenous people living in Rachel: they swore to honor and adore her, creating an immense temple as her house of worship in their small, simple oasis village. The faith and fervor of Freya’s followers in Rachel proved to be infectious, and the entire nation of Arunafeltz eventually converted to this new faith. Religion became central and foremost in the hearts and minds of the people, naturally merging with Arunafeltz culture and government, and Rachel developed into a major, influential city.

Some New Quests:
Get a chance to have random unique item rewards if you donate zeny to Freya’s Temple.

Find the Sincere Follower, Ustialla. Talk to her and agree to help her. She will give you the Ashy Necklace and discover the mystery behind it. Completing this quest will enable Ktullanox (MVP) to be summoned and fought by the player.

For this quest to be available, 500 million zeny must be donated to the temple per server and must have also completed “The Wicked Delivery Quest”. Talk to Nemma. She'll mention how the automatic security has her locked out. Help her rescue her sister trapped inside. Completing this will enable access to Rachel’s Holy Sanctuary (Dungeon).

Slot Enchant: There are two uses of socket enchant system. First, you can buy an item from a merchant in town and make slots on the item. You will get a slotted item by doing this even if you don't go hunting monsters for the drops. Second, you can drill a slot on selected rare items. You can only get those slotted Majestic Goat or Spiky Band from Socket Enchant System but no where else.

Like an item upgrade, Socket Enchant System also has a chance to
success and to fail of making a slot. And when it fails, the item, fee,
and required material will vanish. Also the items have different classes
and different differences in fee and required materials. The upgrade rateand slotted card of the item will vanish if you enchant the item.

Seiyablem, the socket enchant engineer, stays near by forge in Payon,
Lighthalzen, Morroc, and Prontera. When you talk to him, he introduces himself and offers you a service to make a slot on the non-slotted item.He also provides useful information. When you want to make a slot, you will first choose the Type of item, Class of item, and item itself.

In the each town that Seiyablem stays, has different success chances per class. Some town has higher success chances on high class while other towns have high success chances on low classes. Try to check with Seiyablem for better results.

A few reminders when slot enchanting
You can only enchant listed armors and weapons.
There are 4 item classes(C, B, A, S).

The success chance is different per each class.
Even if the class is same, the fee and required material may vary.
If the item already has maximum number of slots, you can’t enchant the item.
The upgrade rate and slotted card will be reset on enchanted item.
2 Slots will be added for enchanted Stunner, Gungnir, Poison Knife, Flamberge, Zweihander, and Claymore.
Item option will be changed for enchanted Ice Pick, Tiara and Crown.
